For centuries Britain's proud heritage, customs
and traditions have been admired, respected and envied by many. We were renowned for our sense of loyalty, fair
play and common decency. Our sense of patriotism was never stronger than when our backs were against the wall.
However, in recent years, much of our heritage and many of our customs and traditions have been eroded away; we are discouraged
to display any sign of patriotism and our loyalty has sometimes been questionable and misplaced.
The good people of Gibraltar have been loyal
to Britain since 1704 and yet the British government continually betrays that loyalty by its discussions and negotiations
with Spain over sovereignty.
By the time this government has finished there
may not be too much left for us to be proud of - for God's sake don't allow them give Gibraltar away too!
